Discord Member Privacy Notice
Effective date: October 1, 2026
This notice explains what Stone Kite Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Stone Kite," "we," "us") records about activity on the official Stone Kite Discord server. Discord itself collects and holds its own data about you under Discord's privacy policy, which this notice does not change.
What we record
Our community tooling records participation metadata only, in public channels only. The complete list:
- that you sent a message, and in which channel - never the text of the message;
- reactions you add or remove;
- when you join or leave the server;
- voice channel joins, leaves, and state changes;
- which invite brought you to the server; and
- server audit entries, for example role changes and moderation actions.
What we never record
- The text of your messages. Our tooling does not use Discord's message-content permission and does not store message bodies, in public channels or anywhere else.
- Direct messages, in any form.
- Message attachments or media.
- Voice audio.
This list is exhaustive by design. If we ever intend to record anything beyond the metadata listed above, this notice will be amended and republished before any new recording starts, and the change will be announced on the server.
If you have not linked a Stone Kite account
The participation metadata above is recorded for all members of the server, keyed to your Discord user identifier, whether or not you have a Stone Kite account. If you never link a Stone Kite account, that metadata is not connected to any other information about you.
If you link your Stone Kite account
If you choose to link your Discord account to your Stone Kite account through Discord's OAuth flow, we record your Discord user identifier against your Stone Kite account, and your participation metadata is associated with your account. Linking is optional, and you can unlink at any time.
How long we keep it, and your choices
Raw participation events are kept for 12 months; aggregate statistics are kept indefinitely. Unlinking your Discord account removes the connection between your Discord identity and your Stone Kite account and deletes the participation metadata we have gathered about you. Unlinking and erasure do not delete anything held by Discord itself - your messages on Discord belong to Discord's service, and requests about them go to Discord.
Your rights over personal information, and how to exercise them, are described in our Privacy Policy and on our Your Data Rights page. Questions: privacy@stonekite.com.
